Now that your dog is considered a senior, we have developed a special program for seniors called Silver Whiskers. This important program is being offered to our senior patients at a discounted, cost-effective rate.
The Canine Silver Whiskers Program provides a thorough medical plan that can aid in the early detection and prevention of disease. Our goal is to provide you with the tools necessary to ensure that your dog has the longest and healthiest life possible. Because dogs age 5-7 times faster than humans do, problems in your dog can progress very rapidly, and a physical exam alone cannot provide the doctor with all the information necessary for senior patients.

This special program includes the following:
- Physical Examination
- Complete Blood count (Antech lab)
- Complete Blood Chemistry Analysis (Antech lab)
- Thyroid test (Antech lab)
- Urinalysis (Antech lab)
- Heartworm test
- Fecal examination
We have teamed up with Idexx (the major laboratory we use) in order to promote preventative care for seniors because of its extremely valuable benefits. The Idexx lab work alone would normally cost $146.00. Antech has graciously offered Raintree a group discount for senior pets of $60, which we are passing along to you. All of the Idexx lab work combined has a special price of $75.
The above program can help in the early detection of: pancreas disease, liver disease, kidney disease, bone disease, heart disease, muscle disease, arthritis, dehydration, diabetes, anemia, thyroid disease, gastrointestinal disease, clotting disorder, intestinal parasites (many that can be transmitted to humans), urinary tract infection, dental disease, inflammation, cancer and several other health problems and diseases.
The price of the Canine Silver Whiskers program is $184.80
Vaccines are not included because we tailor the vaccines to your dog's individual needs. Heartworm prevention pills are not included because the pills vary in price depending upon your dog's weight.
