| In order to maintain your companion's health, it is important to understand where he or she is in
the "life stage" cycle. Both age and weight are necessary information to classify your pet as young,
adult, senior or geriatric. Depending on your pet's life stage classification, he or she may have
different health and diet needs. |
| Following the table below, you can locate your pet's age in years. Now, match the age in years with
your pet's weight and the corresponding color code will identify your pet's life stage. For example,
a 9-year old dog weighing 70 pounds is 61 in "human years" and is classified as a senior pet. |
